From tinseltown’s red carpet to the pristine beaches, magnificent rainforests and jungles of Panama, celebrities are finding their way to one of the top five paradise islands in the world. As the saying goes, “there’s no business like show business”, the entertainment industry’s best and most glamorous are always finding ways to relax and unwind after finishing their respective projects and dealing with the ever increasing demand of their extraordinary careers.

Who’s Who is Panama:

Several celebrities have already acquired private beachfront properties and condominiums in Panama to give them the opportunity to escape for a while before going back to their pressure-ridden world. In December of 2006, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited the country. After checking into a swanky hotel the architecture-enthusiast actor Brad Pitt took the devoted humanitarian actress Angie Jolie to the Frank Gehry museum, then visited souvenir shops and colonial neighborhoods.  They consequently bought their own whopping $10.2 million property at Punta Pacifica, a penthouse belonging to the Trump Project. Mel Gibson recently scouted Panama for properties on sale on the popular and marginally remote beaches of Palenque and Pedasi, then also went on to buy his own condominium in “The World”, which is one of Panama’s new projects. The legendary Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger wasn’t left behind as he purchased his own house in Pedasi which is located near David, one of the cities in Panama.

Tourism in Panama:

There are also new projects that are going to be constructed to maintain the increasing interest of celebrities in Panama and the continuing growth of tourism in the country: a Marine Park, Disney, and a Cruise Boat Pier.  Add that to the pristine beaches and the exotic rainforests, where else will they go, right?

Besides the alluring tourist attractions, there are also other reasons why celebrities are continually visiting Panama.

The crime rate and the cost of living are low. Celebrities can buy a magnificent property with a beautiful view for a reasonable price and most importantly, there no paparazzis to horde and disturb them so they can enjoy a normal vacation. Like any other first-class country, Panama provides a great Health Care system with the John Hopkins Hospital plus other tertiary level hospitals. They also have a variety of commendable restaurants that provide healthy and organic foods.  Celebrities don’t just choose Panama because it’s one of the greatest travel destinations in the world but also because it gives them the opportunity to relax like a normal person without the unwanted media attention.  They can simply be themselves.
