• To start out with, you will be able to stay anonymous as your name will not be connected anywhere publicly to the foundation.
• If, for some reason, you find yourself running into trouble within the foundation you can settle the matter simply by using arbitration. This will save you a lot of time and money as opposed to taking the matter to court and dragging it out for days upon weeks upon months.
• One of the more important aspects of foundations is that they can be used to protect your assets. If your foundation owns your assets, another party cannot demand that these assets be included in court cases in foreign lands which involve the settling of some sort of debt.
• A foundation can hold anywhere from it’s minimum of ten thousand dollars to a maximum of unlimited amount of assets. This means that while you must have a certain amount of money to start up an asset, you do not need to create new foundations to hold all of your stuff.
• Because the foundation is in Panama, you are guaranteed that no one who knows you are the owner of the assets owned by the foundation will tell anyone who is not supposed to know. This is because by Panama law, this offense can be punishable by huge fines and jail time.
• Panama does not tax foundations, so therefore you do not have to send them records of how well you did financially every year. If you want to keep this information it is up to you where to store it. Whether in paper hidden away in some secret location or online, only you have to know where this information is. In addition, you can choose not to keep any information at all.
• You can set up a will through the foundation to keep your family well-endowed even after you pass on. You can leave specific instructions so that there is no confusion in the future.
• You are not required to hold any real meetings within the foundation if you do not want to.
• You may appoint someone else, a founder, to start up your company and his name will be in the public records, not your own. It is also quite easy to shift the founder to someone else by simply passing on the shares. This offers you a great advantage as you are able to keep your name secret and your enemies confused.
• Your foundation will act in your best interests when it comes to keeping your assets intact or investing them to make more money. They will not do anything you do not want them to and are paid to ensure that your exact commands are what happens. This means that you can control your assets without ever actually taking responsibility for owning them.
• Foundations usually cannot be revoked by technical matters and there are only three cases, before the foundation starts, if it is caught doing illegal activity and if the charter says it will end after so and so years, where it can be revoked. Nothing to really worry about there.
• As mentioned before, there is no reason to worry about taxes. Panama will not tax foundations.
