Same Day Bank Service

This level of service requires you to come to Panama.  We will form your corporation or foundation prior to your arrival free of charge.  Even if your corporation is not formed prior to your arrival, due to our relationship with the bank, we can still open your account the same day!

Panama Bank Account Options & Capabilities

• Panama Bank Accounts have strong Bank Secrecy, which calls for prison terms and fines for violators.  The difference between Panama and other offshore jurisdictions, is that Panama strongly enforces its bank secrecy laws.   Also you could, of course, sue the bank for any violations as well.

• You will have online banking including international wire transfer sending capabilities, balance history, and statements.
• The minimum opening deposit is $1000 for USD accounts.

• USA, Canadian Passport holders are only eligible for corporation or foundation bank accounts only, no personal accounts.

Offshore Bank Account in Panama

We do not discuss the names of banks. The banks do not wish to be contacted directly by the clients. We have banks with many billions of dollars of assets and require an "introduction".

Multi-National Banks in Panama

We have banks that operate only in Panama and banks that operate around the world to suit your preference. For banks with a global presence, you should be aware that the banking entity in Panama is a separate Panama Banking Corporation covered by Panama Bank Secrecy. 

For example:

Scotiabank has locations in Canada and several other countries including Panama.  The Scotiabank in Panama is legally a separate bank from it's counterpart in Canada. It would be illegal for the Panama Scotiabank to give account information to the Canadian Scotiabank, punishable by prison terms for the violators.  On a practical level, the Panama entity is a totally separate bank.   The computer systems are not linked, the management structure is not cross linked, etc.

Please note:  We do not recommend you bank with ScotiaBank - This was just an example.  In fact ScotiaBank in Panama does NOT have online banking!

 

Thus your banking privacy is safe even though you are banking with an "onshore bank".  Some of our clients prefer this type of situation because it is their belief that if the Panama bank were, for some unknown reason, to get into financial trouble, the global banking entity (in our example the global "Scotiabank" entity) would take care of the situation to protect their name. 

National Banks

On the other hand some of our clients want a bank that only exists in Panama.  They believe that in spite of bank privacy laws, if certain "powers that be" were to apply enough pressure the bank would cave and give out private information.  Since a bank that only exists in Panama is not exposed to the these external pressures, it is a safer.  This is an ongoing debate so we offer the best of both types of banks. 

How big is the National Bank you Offer? 

We do not offer mickey mouse offshore banks to our clients.  The bank we offer clients who do not wish to use a multi-national bank for privacy reasons is very large.  They have a huge office tower and many branches throughout Panama.
